A Coronavirus Update

As measures to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic continue and intensify, Mountain Fold is well placed to remain fully operational, and how we work will be largely unchanged. From the start we’ve had systems set up for flexible, remote working, allowing teams to be spread out across the UK and further afield. Conversations and meetings are preferably had in person, but otherwise take place on Slack or Skype. Files are shared over Dropbox. When sitting around poking a physical model isn’t possible, screens are shared and a 3D model reviewed. 3D PDF files have helped clarify and explain any trickier construction details, and for the past few months we’ve also been trialling the use of interactive 3D models, allowing users to get a better impression of the flow between spaces.

My priority is the safety and wellbeing of clients and those I work with. The current government advice is to avoid unnecessary contact and so for the time being I’ll be limiting the number of physical meetings where possible. All non-essential meetings will be conducted via Zoom, Skype, FaceTime or even simpler over the phone. I’m sure you understand, but please do bear with me.

There are difficult times ahead, but I remain committed to helping Mountain Fold’s clients as best I can.

Stay healthy, wash your hands, and try to support your local businesses.

– Matt
